Our History

Back in 2016, Jordan had a dream to start his own Timberframing company. It started with taking any woodworking job available. From mantles, to bedframes, staircases and shelving. It slowly grew and the timber accents on homes, and full timberframe jobs started rolling in.

In the last 10 years, Toews Timberframes has grown from Jordan on his own in a single car garage to large scale, 20 employee operation providing custom timbers for large scale cabins and homes across Western Canada.

Design

Collaborating closely with you and our dedicated draftsman team, we create detailed 3D designs tailored to your vision. Whether you bring an idea, a sketch, or existing plans, we’ll work together to bring your unique project to life.

Supply

We carefully hand-select only the highest quality timbers. Our skilled craftsmen then cut, chisel, and pre-fit each joint with meticulous precision. To ensure long-lasting strength and a flawless finish, every timber undergoes our signature Sansin 3-Coat Stain. Process, providing superior UV protection and enduring beauty.

Build

We collaborate with homeowners, builders, and general contractors to organize and coordinate every detail. Our goal is to ensure your project comes together as envisioned, on time, and with seamless execution.

Leadership Team

Founder & CEO

Jordan Toews

Jordan, the founder of Toews Timberframes, has a clear vision for the company’s growth. He’s passionate about bringing your ideas to life and loves working with styles that capture each individual’s unique character. He still loves to get out of the office onto the job site to join the crew on some raising days. Jordan and his wife Heidi, along with their five children, live just a short distance from the shop. As a family, they enjoy riding dirt bikes, and racing the Manitoba Motocross circuit. In the evenings, they love unwinding around a bonfire in their backyard.

Site Forman

Nick Toews

Nick, one of Jordan’s brothers, works with the company as the Site Foreman. He’s the one you’ll see on-site, managing his crew and ensuring every aspect of the project stays on track. Nick takes great pride in watching projects come together and enjoys capturing photos of the finished projects. Recently, Nick and his wife welcomed their first child, a baby girl. Outside of work, Nick also has a passion for motocross and racing the Manitoba Motocross circuit.

Operations Manager

Chris Kuhl

Chris plays a key role as the Operations Manager, contributing his expertise and dedication to the company. Chris oversees all shop operations, ensuring project harmony from start to finish. He manages the entire process with precision and care. Outside of work, Chris and his family are passionate about hockey. Chris not only coaches but also loves supporting their children at sporting events, always cheering them on from the sidelines.

Project Manager

Allan Harder

Allan serves as our dedicated Project Manager, working closely with you and your contractor to bring your project vision to life. With a keen focus on pricing and finding the perfect fit for your needs, Allan ensures a smooth and successful project completion from start to finish. Beyond the office, Allan is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys playing hockey, football, and golf. He loves spending the warmer months camping and hiking, making memories with his wife and their young children.
